Eurostars Hotel Company has renamed its photography award in tribute to Josep Juanpere (1953–2025), founding partner of GCA Architects. He was the author of the interior design of the Hotel Grand Marina and served as president of the award’s jury.
As part of the Barcelona 2026 World Capital of Architecture programme, the exhibition presents a selection of materials and elements linked to projects developed across Barcelona, highlighting architecture’s ability to reinterpret what already exists, promoting circularity, memory and constructive continuity, fostering knowledge of the architecture produced in the city.
GCA Architects presents the rehabilitation of Casa Condeminas, a historic Grade B-listed building representative of Barcelona’s Modernist architecture and its evolution over time. The intervention prioritised quality in the restoration of original elements and craftsmanship, working alongside specialists and third-generation workshops that preserve traditional techniques.
An initiative led by b720 Fermín Vázquez Arquitectos in collaboration with architecture studios, institutions and companies from the building sector.

Awarded at the 12th Alejandro de la Sota Biennial 2021, the Fundació Rosa Maria Vivar project has been selected for the exhibition Mostra d’Arquitectura Catalana, l’Ofici Mutant, showcasing outstanding and award-winning works from the Col·legi d’Arquitectes de Catalunya (COAC) Architecture Exhibitions, within the framework of the World Capital of Architecture Barcelona 2026.
The exhibition opened on Thursday 19th February, and will be on view at Museu d’Història de Barcelona Oliva Artés until 8th April.

Alcántara 25, first luxury apartments in Spain by Marriott International
