Smart 22@ has been awarded the Edifica Mention Award in the category of New Construction
Smart 22@ has been awarded the Edifica Mention Award in the category of New Construction for Nearly Zero Energy Buildings (‘nZeb’) by the Passivhaus Consortium and the University of Navarra for its commitment to sustainable and efficient construction.
According to Josep Riu, architect and partner at GCA Architects, “Smart 22@ is a link between the past and the future, whose innovative character lies in the art of integrating eco-efficiency, sustainability, and technological innovation with the importance of craftsmanship and respect for local heritage.”
The collaboration between the Passivhaus Consortium, a group formed by more than 30 companies in the sector, and the University of Navarra aims to promote conscious construction, providing visibility to the best design proposals for buildings, cities, and livable environments.
The jury was composed of César Ruiz Larrea (Ruiz Larrea Associates), Ángela Baldellou (2030 Observatory), Manuel Enríquez (Sustainability and Architecture Association), Gerardo Herrera (CREARQ), and representatives from UNAV and the Passivhaus Consortium.
The diploma ceremony will take place during Edifica, the sustainable construction event that will be held in Pamplona from September 20th to 22nd.
